The initial consultation will comprise of:

  • Medical Condition Discussion
  • Treatment History
  • Current Medicines Review
  • Product Selection
  • TGA Application
  • Consent Form
  • Information (provided to the patient)

The cost for the initial consultation also includes administration overheads such as

  • application chasing,
  • application reviews (if rejected),
  • billing,
  • prescription writing,
  • tracking and
  • notification

Just to list a few of the many tasks involved in the process.

Please bring copies of full medical history and a brief letter from your general practitioner if possible.

How Much Do Cannabis Consultations Cost?

In clinic costs can vary, the initial consult is for single product application to TGA.

How Much Does Proscribed Cannabis Cost?

The Cannabis Products average cost is between $4 to $10 per day.

Factors that can affect the cost include:

  • the ratio of THC and CBD in the prescribed product,
  • the amounts individually used,
  • the products form (i.e. flower, capsules, oil), and
  • the pharmacy dispensing fee.

Due to government regulations, we cannot publicly advertise any products or price lists. Products and prices are discussed in consultation with the prescribing doctor.

Medicare Rebates

Medicare Rebates are available for InClinic appointments; please refer to your local clinic for details. Please discuss this at your consultation.

Health Fund Rebates

Many current patients have had positive responses from their Health Funds who have received a refund for a portion of their consultations and prescriptions.

These refunds are dependant on their specific Private Health insurance plans and their level of cover.

Please check with your own Health Fund and be persistent as your level of cover may mean they have to cover non-PBS listed prescription fees.
